Rosemount Estate today owns vineyards in seven geographically diverse viticultural regions throughout New South Wales and South Australia. Each has been developed with the aim of matching the physical make-up of the site - its 'terroir' - with the best of the world's premium grape varieties. Rosemount Estate is able to offer an impressive range of single vineyard and premium regional wines for the enjoyment of wine enthusiasts the world over.
Taking account of each vineyard's climate, aspect, soils and subsoils, a programme of site-specific vineyard development has been set in place to optimise the calibre of fruit grown on each site.
By balancing the vine trellising and training; the pruning and crop loads; the supply of water and the density/dynamics of the leaf canopy, we aim to draw the very best from the land.
In doing so, our vineyard managers are able to deliver grapes to the winery possessing the clearest possible varietal flavour definition. From this, the best possible starting point, the winemakers can nurture the fruit to the greatness of its potential.
